I’m Cynthia Kulak – Owner of Kulak Curated Design. I believe that every space should reflect your unique style. With over 25 years of experience in interior design, I am a seasoned professional with knowledge and expertise to bring your vision to life.
Specializing in modern traditional style, I work closely with clients to design new build homes and update existing spaces. From concept to completion, Kulak Curated Design is dedicated to creating beautiful, functional spaces that you'll love for years to come.

A bit about me
My name is Cynthia Kulak
As a preteen and teenager, I would decorate my room all the time moving furniture around and searching for garage sale finds that I could paint and decorate with. I have always enjoyed the use of color and creating a space that is inviting and comfortable - reflecting the people who live in it.
Born and raised in southern California, I moved to Orlando, Florida for my dad’s job when I was in college. In college, I met my husband Keane (we’re now married 29 years). Once married, we lived in the
north shore suburbs of Chicago for a few years, and then moved to Apex in 1998. We’ve lived in Wake County since then.
I officially started my interior design career in 1997 when I was hired by several friends to help them with their apartments and homes - making them feel inviting and spatially balanced. I believe that God gives each of us talents to use for His glory, and interior design is one of mine.
I am inspired by all the different colors and textures found in nature. I like a good challenge - whether it’s a unique style, incorporating family heirlooms, or treasures from world travels. I love pulling it all together in a client’s space making it uniquely theirs.
As the mom of three boys, I am a natural at decorating boy spaces. I absolutely love decorating a girl’s bedroom (teen to toddler) - it’s so fun and such a treat! Outdoor spaces are also a favorite to design and decorate.
